Karla Foy, President

Karla Foy is a graduate of American University and Harvard Law School. She is currently an attorney in private practice with offices in Hackensack and New York. For over 10 years she practiced education law focusing on civil rights issues with both the US Department of Education and New York University. Karla is in her final term on the TCCS Board. Karla and her husband Jason have lived in Teaneck for 14 years and have two daughters, Mackenzie and Seneca, who are thriving at the Teaneck Community Charter School. email kfoy@tccsnj.org

Davia Brown Franklyn, Vice President

Davia Franklyn is a graduate of Ithaca College and Bank Street College of Education. She is currently the Director, of the Center for Middle School Practices and is a graduate faculty member at Bank Street College of Education. Davia, has been in the field of education for over 10 years as a teacher/trainer of educators. She has co-founded her own education consultant business: D.O.E.R. which provides a range of professional development services to schools and community based organizations. Rodney Ryland, Treasurer

Rodney grew up in Englewood and graduated from Dwight Morrow High School. He graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 1985 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Rodney was employed by Chase Securities for several years, then left Chase because he was accepted to and completed a management training program at, what was then, Anchor Savings Bank. He entered the Police Academy for Teaneck in July of 1993. At the Teaneck Police Department he has worked in the Patrol Division, as the High School Resource Officer, in the Burglary Squad, trained as a D.A.R.E. Yonah Hirschman, Secretary

Yonah has been a resident of Teaneck for over 20 years. She and her husband Steven, an electrical engineer, have one son who is a 7th grader at TCCS. Yonah was co-president of the parent organization --TCSCO -- for two years before being elected to the TCCS Board. A graduate of Boston University, Yonah has been involved in publishing workflow analysis and content management for most of her career. Hillary Keating, Assistant Secretary

Hillary Cooke-Keating is a graduate of Brooklyn College (CUNY, 1981) with a degree in speech for rhetoric and public address. She and her husband Shayle have been Teaneck residents since 1991. They were involved with the Teaneck Biddy Basketball and Teaneck Southern Baseball for over 12 years with many notable successes. Hillary and her husband Shayle are proud parents of Tylea who graduated from TCCS and is now a freshman at Paramus Catholic and a son Shayle Matthew who is now attending graduate school at Rutgers. email hkeating@tccsnj.org

Marilyn Marks

Marilyn is a graduate of CUNY with a B.A. in Mass Communications. After many years in the broadcast video industry, Marilyn returned to school and made a career move. She is now in social services. Marilyn was a founder of TCCS and an active member of its community in various capacities ever since. Marilyn is the proud parent of a TCCS graduate who is now in college. Richard O'Neal

Richard O'Neal is a Senior Territory Business Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb working in the field of oncology. Richard graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in Business Marketing and a BM in Music Merchandising. He has 28+ years of sales and marketing experience, ranging from insurance, and finance with the last 20+ years in the pharmaceutical industry. An accomplished musician and church pianist/organist, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, Treasurer of the NJ/NY Chapter of National Sales Network and a member of several national business associations. Lauren Salvodon

Lauren is the proud and devoted mother of 13 year old Jillian, an 8th grader at TCCS and 15 year old Gregory, who just recently started homeschooling. Lauren has 25 years experience in sales management, marketing and public relations in the retail industry. During the last five years, she has completed college courses through Fairleigh Dickinson University's Success Program as well as becoming an advocate for her two children. Kathleen Wicklund

Kathleen is a lifelong resident of Teaneck who is proud to have graduated from Teaneck High School in 1980. She and her husband have twin boys now entering the 4th grade at the Teaneck Community Charter School. Kathleen has been a successful Realtor in Teaneck for over 16 years. She and her family have been involved in community, religious and political life in Teaneck spanning over 50 years. She has been an active member of the Charter School since her children entered kindergarten.
