Hello TCCS Community,

Next week, on March 14, a nationwide student walk-out is planned to take place in schools throughout the nation. The demonstration is intended to bring to the attention of federal and state lawmakers the need to address school security-related matters. Please take a moment to read the attached letter regarding our plans for this day at TCCS.

On a related note, I'd like to take this opportunity to reiterate that the TCCS Board of Trustees, administration, and faculty take the issue of school security very seriously. In addition to performing the regular drills that are mandated by the state, we are also constantly assessing and improving upon our existing security measures to ensure the safety of our students and community as a whole. As discussed at our last Board meeting, I just recently met with Chief Glenn O'Reilly of the Teaneck Police Department to review our agreed upon safety and security response procedures to reinforce the protection and safety of our school environment.

I invite you to attend the March 19 Board of Trustees meeting, where I will be giving the attached presentation on school security at TCCS, which is an update to the collaborative parent night presentation that was done with the Teaneck Police Department in 2016.

We all play a critical role in the safety of our school. The community as a whole is reminded to follow all established policies & procedures and to share any information regarding any concerns that you may have. We welcome and appreciate your input, feedback, and cooperation.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ralph Gallo
